Withholding Taxes for Community
part 2 of 3
Stated in previous edition, there is reason to
turn to, and empower, Grassroot Community based organizations (CBO). WHY? Wonder
how your taxes are spent only to feel helpless. Wonder how much of your tax
dollars pay for sustaining the life style of civil servants like the Senate,
Congress, etc. A LOT! If officials, paid a lot, were listening to the
peoples cry “enough of President Trump”
(a popular opinion), how is it that the Senate, (representing the
peoples voice), can refuse to impeach the president. Either somebody is not
listening or somebody is not screaming load enough. So If they are not
listening to THAT cry, can you expect such officials to listen to community needs.
It’s time for “we the people” to turn to, and empower
good old grassroot community-based organizations (CBO) Time to enable them
to take actions beyond simple protests and begin dethroning negligent officials
obligated to assure local needs and concerns are ddressed.
At present such actions require time and
money often not available to CBO’s.
But if fighting for community needs is governed by affordability, then
let the government fork the bill! When difference
between community and civic duties requiring court preceding’s; let the whole
community withhold state and federal taxes, put them in a trust and let
“Grassroot CBO’s” finance what needs to be done when ousting a negligent
official becomes necessary. Hiding behind a community’s inability to afford
time and money is more than unfair. It’s just one more form of dictatorship:
Capitalism!
If you don’t want you’re your taxes spent on
things like the military or the exorbitant expenses of civil servants, if you
prefer seeing it spent on something locally being overlooked; pay your taxes
to a local community trust fund for grassroot CBO’s to address the
matter. You’re still paying taxes. I doubt such actions have to be carried out.
I believe the threat of a resolved people taking such action would suffice.
Is it possible? Then “how and why” are good
questions to consider. Wonder what exactly your taxes are being spent on.
Is there an itemized breakdown? There should be! Though I’m sure there are a
lot procedures and red tape TO JUMP THROUGH but I’m sure such information can
or should be accessible But that’s not the matter at hand.
The matter is; can we withhold individual
taxes? How? For what purpose? WHO’s OVERSEEING THE CASH or should taxes be
WITHHELD and placed in an account TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY NEEDS
There are already 7 states running their
infrastructure without income tax; Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South
Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. How? At least it is successfully being
done. I’m sure it took some dialog among minds far more in depth than mine. There
are places on the internet to get relevant information. But believe me, what
little I was able to get was not only fought for by tooth and nail but had
little to offer as well. For example I found “Tax withholding refers to
the portion of an employee's gross wages retained by employers for the IRS” and
“Two main types of taxes typically withheld; regular income taxes and
Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA) taxes”… But I also found that the thresholds for
exempt income can be changed through the political process.” So, let’s
press the political process with a “OR ELSE” APPROACH. We’re not supposed to
fully understand and carry out the mechanics for solving issues. That’s what
officials are payed for; to restore/maintain/repair/replace whatever!
Let me close with this: It’s one thing to
attack, even punish, an individual standing for some righteous and justified
reason. However, doing so with one individual is not the same as doing so with
the whole tribe. It will cost the powers that be a lot. Can you imagine the
system overload we can give? There aren’t enough jails, judges, jury or law
enforcers to handle a group of people tied to CBO’s THAT ARE tied to each other
forcing local officials to force other officials on the next step of the ladder
to do their job – “OR ELSE.” So let’s pass the bucket of issues up the chain of
command. And let the local officials know, “Don’t come back without some form
of resolution.”
Again: May God help us all play our rightful
roles! Meanwhile let’s talk further (in next edition) about impeaching
negligent civil servants through the power community grass roots
organizations can wield.
