The Hurting Heart of Humanity

The hurting heart of humanity

Humanities heart is in a state of global crisis! Growing natural disasters have compounded the widespread social conflict and injustice driving class and racial inequalities to unbearable levels. Crime, violence, mental illness and corruption have become little more than a normal cost of doing daily business. Existence has become an arena where depleting resources and dwindling economic opportunities are dangerously justifying the resulting consequences. of Growing unemployment, poverty and homelessness have reached unprecedented levels. Thus, mounting forms of addiction are just efforts to ease the strain of having to live in constant competition with each other at the cost of losing one’s innate natural desire, need and ability to love, trust and share. Meanwhile, the looming dark clouds full of thundering hate and lightning-fast hoarding are crippling the social threads of compassion under the weight of growing fear and despair. In truth, looking at the blinding lights of this present reality has become like someone trying to stare into the sun without a proper pair of sunglasses: An act too horribly painful to endure.

But what’s the alternative? To put your head in the sand like an ostrich and expect the roaming lions, tigers and bears of profit not to bite your vulnerable butt waving in the air? To simply ignore it all as a passing phase? To consider yourself so well-insulated that you can continue enjoying your cushy jobs, homes, fancy toys and trustworthy affiliations free of repercussions? Ha! Do take a moment to remember the cause and effects of Fannie May and Freddie Mac, the unearthed Wall Street scandals and the tragedy of 9/11. Do consider the growing death tolls of children in Gaza and Ukraine. Dare you underestimate why our southern borders are being stormed by families frantically trying to escape the horrific conditions full of atrocities growing like a northbound tsunami? And let’s not forget the widespread practice of unchecked outsourcing and ongoing downsizing getting compensated by the growing use of automation and A.I. in our own backyard. Make no mistake: The Heart of Humanity is Hurting and becoming so calloused that the THREAT of widespread ANARCHY knocking on everyone’s door is closer than you think.

And yet there is still hope. While the growing sense of institutional negligence and betrayal are leaving so many in a state of hopeless, helpless despair there is still a higher power with plans of divine intervention underway. Meanwhile, consider how behind the seemingly cold hard masks of indifference so many have decided to wear there is still an inner broken child of God needing a reassuring handshake, smile or hug that says; its ok! You’re not alone! Beneath all the anger and tendencies to hoard, we are all just experiencing the anxiety of loneliness and fear. But deep down most of us still entertain the capacity and desire to love thy neighbor as thyself. Mutual exploitation doesn’t have to be the norm. It might well be just a challenging opportunity to choose life. Just believe in divine intervention and the powerful potential of practicing the biblical brotherly love advocated in Galatians 5.

  1. The problems in America are accurately described here. Plus, the blog points out that there is a higher power, some call God, that is readily available for all of us to rely on to change the negative state of affairs. One should be aware of that power and let it work for you to move you in a positive direction.
