WILDERNESS: Welcome to the Automated World of Automatons

Welcome to the Automated World of Automatons

Surviving multiple revisions (1215-25), The Magna Carta’s commitment to outlining the limits of governance and its primary role in assuring the sovereignty of its constituents got imbedded in our Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights stressing Freedom to Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness as Unalienable Rights. Stressing the importance of The Civil Rights Movement; 4 term President F. D. Roosevelt’s 1944 “Second” Economic Bill of Rights added key elements (Employment, Housing, Medical Care, Education, Food, Clothing, Leisure and a Social Security safety net for the elderly and disabled), toward establishing a new level of government responsibility and economic security for all Americans. Considering John Lock (asserting citizen rights to replace dysfunctional governments), he advocated: When the private sector fails to provide the basic needs of the people, government has little recourse but to step in and take both responsibility and accountability. But he was addressing a human conscience rooted in Homeland Civil/Civic Duty not an industrial machinery exclusively focused on capital gain, loss and wheels greased by ever-evolving robots (automatons) conditioned to reward, punishment and immediate gratification.

However. giving way to the stealth-like resurfacing of Manifest Destiny (divine rights) and The Monroe Doctrine (expansion rights cemented into action by T. Roosevelt’s Corollary), Eisenhower’s NEW LOOK policy (to assure the countries domestic needs wouldn’t neglect its status as “THE GLOBAL POWER” to follow and fear (through CIA international covert initiatives) would not be neglected; FDR’s commitment to ongoing National Stability through Social Services has been gradually and effectively dismantled; replaced by a geopolitical agenda focused on how the country’s physical features (location, size, economic demographics, and power) are viewed regarding its relationships with other nations.

But should the “Oval Office’s Pen of Sacrificial Lambs, automatons anticipating their coat of given American Express Cards (with undisclosed but limited Credit and expiration dates) to be sheered, be exclusively blamed? Shearing a lamb’s coating requires careful technique. It’s a process of gathering the needed tools, calmly positioning the lamb to start shearing from the neck to its belly and legs, checking for stragglers, inspecting for irritations, and providing comfort to absorb the aftermath. Shouldn’t our nation’s citizens of humanity, consider themselves (willfully negligent), members of the growing global pen of “Sacrificial Lambs” turned into automatons sheered from its coat of conscience: RATS IN A SOCIAL MAZE.

In the1930’s psychologist Edward C. Tolman’s “RAT EXPERIMENTS” studying the cognitive processes of rats learning to navigate mazes with/without immediate rewards or reinforcements. Introducing opiates, other studies demonstrated how addiction could train rats to frantically press buttons to relieve their cravings. Yet by putting the same rats in “RAT PARK,” (a spacious and socially enriched habitat for them to play, socialize, and mate) altered their cravings for more favorable delights.

Considering the educational systems process of seed planting the subconscious (from early childhood to adulthood) with a script to learn, recite, follow and obey has come to flourish and respond to today’s digital world and its mechanical need for conscious free button pushing automatons to sustain a machinery focused on retaining the economic, political and militant power of the few over the deemed seemingly helpless many. But let’s look at the process and consider what’s between this July 4th (declaring independence/war) and 5th (Martyrs Day accrediting the many spilling blood for justice, individual sovereignty and dignity in human coexistence) celebration during a geopolitical trend automating industry and Human Conscience. This administrations withdrawal from 66 organizations striving for international concessions, insistence to wave a big stick (presently regarded little more than a toothpick), and intent to rename landmark symbols (including the 1st individualization of its passport) commemorating this nation’s effort to role model democracy have caused Ex-President Clinton, and others, to break traditional silence to outline related implications and shed light on this presently fragmented America’s need to rally, remember past presidents, and consider John Locks warning declaring citizen rights to replace governments displaying dysfunctional roles through the long-established process of impeachment when warranted. Let that become the canon heard worldwide in response to the growing Automated World of Automatons!
