JESUS FACTOR: Bench Warmers Don’t Defend “Unalienable Rights
When they stated, “Didn’t we do” (whatever), Jesus responded “Begone! I knew you not.” Why? Because He also stated, “When you did it not for the least of these, you did it not for me.” And when considering the global dark blanket of fear and despair triggering individual hoarding greed (and more), these statements warrant serious introspection leading to the question: How can one say “I love the CREATOR and NOT HIS/HER CREATIONS (environment and one’s neighbor), both at home and abroad? While mounting widows and orphans being left homeless and hungry, while the next generation is being ill equipped to deal with the present mess being left for future address, what happened to what Jesus said, “Let the children come to me?” Church Bench Warmers Need Rise To Defend “Unalienable Rights”
Not that long ago, even with the separation
of church and state hovering to be a constantly misapplied distortion;
the educational system made a serious effort to maintain a curriculum
focused on trying to foster civil (law abiding) and civic
(community oriented) next generation patriots. In fact, originally
written in 1892 by a Baptist minister (Francis Bellamy), published in The
Youth’s Companion (a children’s magazine encouraging virtue and piety),
revised to include "the Flag of the United States of America" (1923) and
"under God" (1954 by President Eisenhower) students daily recited “I
pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the
republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty
and justice for all” until the Supreme Court effectively removed it from
public schools in 1962. Do noter Red Skelton

Point! This is a Godly
Nation intended to promote and model “We The People of …” professing A
Constitution, A Declaration, and A Bill of “Unalienable” Rights sovereign to
all simply because they/we exist. And yes! Since as early as the “Magna
Carta/The Great Charter" of 1215 (establishing more than just the
principle that no one, not even the king, is above the law), it all continues
to be a matter recklessly put in representing legal and political hands
to interpret and dole out a mess of ever-changing guidelines for the masses to
follow. But remember the warning when the nation of Isreal insisted on
trading divine guidance for a king (1 Samual 8:10-18)? And while noting how we temporarily
still see “In God We Trust” inscribed on dollar bills and courtroom walls, do remember
the Jesus warnings: “Beware false Prophets” and “Wolves in Sheep Clothing.” Bench Warmers Don’t Fight For “Unalienable Rights”
Remember He said Follow
Me! The way to truth and life! Promising to send the assistance of a spiritual
comforting counselor he said, “What you’ve seen me do – you can too.” So, let’s
stop the bench warming and start really caring and loving each other forgetting
not the growing hungry, homeless widows and orphans or the presently suffering
sick and persecuted. With nothing else seeming to work, and without
getting so hung up on the separation of church and state (a historical
misnomer that has been used to undermine the very religious freedom our
Founders sought to protect), why not actively put
God back into our socio-economic and political practices. Just sit back and watch this Red
Skelton video clip and consider; while waiting for future deliverance, what
should “WE” be presently doing?
