WILDERNESS VOICE: TRUTH SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

TRUTH SPEAKS FOR ITSELF

“Men” and “Women,” choosing to seek a life on the path of enlightenment and grow, set preferential gratifications aside and commit to the journey of a cause full of exploration, experiments and application of fascinating discoveries to share with humanity. In the case of truth, they do not seek glory or claim to create its light but point toward its existence. They understand and accept truth speaks for itself with liberating effect and affect. It needs representation not defense. It needs courageous leaders not complacent followers.

Thus, striving to offer perspectives for individual reflection, interpretation and personal choice; truth will never be silenced, ignored or worse, suppressed! But especially through the multi-dimensional forms of the arts; it will never be denied presence! Let’s consider another one of Jackson Browne's songs: "I Was Made for America." Expressing a deep sense of patriotism and connection to American identity, it reflects personal experiences and pursuits of dreams within the American landscape without denying the struggles and resilience of individuals in the face of challenges. Conveying a present-day need for unity and understanding among diverse communities, it enhances the emotional impact of a message longing to manifest the American spirit and quest for a sense of shared belonging.

Modified for text: “As if I really didn't understand that I was just another part of their plan I went off looking for the promise Believing in the Motherland. From the comfort of a dreamer's bed and the safety of my own head, I went on speaking of the future while other people fought and bled. The kid I was when I first left home was looking for a freedom and life of one’s own. But the freedom that was found wasn't quite as sweet when the truth was known. I’ve prayed for America! I was made for America! It's in my blood and in my bones! By the dawn's early light, by all I know is right, we're going to reap what we have sown. As if freedom was a question of might! As if loyalty was black and white! You hear people say it all the time: My country wrong or right. I want to know what that's got to do with what it takes to find out what's true. With everyone from the President on down trying to keep it from you, the thing I wonder about the Dads and Moms who send their sons to the Vietnams: Will they really think their way of life has been protected as the next war comes? I’ve prayed for America! I was made for America! Her shining dream plays in my mind: By the rockets’ red glare, a generation's blank stare, we better wake her up this time. The kid I was when I first left home was looking for a freedom and life one’s own. But the freedom that he found wasn't quite as sweet when the truth was known. I’ve prayed for America! I was made for America! I can't let go till she comes around: Until the land of the free is awake and can see, until her conscience has been found.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlY2S8db7Ck

Look Around and ask: Do you see it? Do you get it? Or are you just another AUTOMATON: A temporarily useful COG in the mechanical wheels of progress; well-greased by the bling-bling of economic opportunity lubricated by a hyped-up media promoting misdirection and divide throughout political agendas, denominational dogmas, and cultural diversity.  Face and Own It: Will we, as ostriches with heads buried in the sand or grunting thin-skinned pigs playing in the mud, continue doing it to ourselves.
