Jesus Factor: Filling The Tomb
FILLING THE TOMB
Once again, periodically
alternating its celebration date, Easter has come depicting: A Resurrection! A
Dawning! A Choice! So, forget the use of American Gregorian or European Julian
Calendars, the stagnating dogmas of denominational divides, how the pagan bunny
eggs came to overshadow the essence of the empty tomb where asked: “Why do
you seek the living among the dead?” Can you muster the courage to put
general opinions and preferences aside to entertain an alternative to needing
a convenient escape from the truth. Consider a personal meditative
exploration able to lead toward new revelations while listening to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ix3GrxUA1GY.
And what is the truth? Recall John the Baptist who said I baptize
with water but there is one waiting to baptize with the redemptive flame of
a comforting counselor and consider listening to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDIgKzRkMAA.
Do you get it! Then let’s move on!
As exemplified
throughout Gaza, Ukraine, Congo, Venezuela, Cuba and yes, within the milk and
honey boarders of good old USA: Humanity is in serious trouble and it’s
time to reconsider the growing dark blanket of fear and despair spreading self-gratifying
hoarding greed across the globe. More than to just praying, leaving the action and
subsequent consequences to others consider: Left in the smoldering ashes of
“progress” and “doing business as,” both at home and abroad, are the victims of
idleness. The sick, suffering and persecuted! The widows and orphaned! The
homeless and hungry! Isn’t all this at the cornerstone of the Jesus message and
the many that have picked up his mantle at the price of Calvary: The
crown of thorns burrowing into the conscience? The whip of injustice upon one’s
personal back? And for humanity’s sake, the weight of the cross upon the
shoulders of so many believers? The awaiting nails for loving not just the
creator, but his creations (environment and fellow human neighbors)? Heed the warning: When you did not for the
least of these, you did not for me!
All ye bench warmers of
today; Consider Truth! Prosperity Preaching and Entertainment is a
self-centered temporary band-aid destined to receive just returns. Truth!
What’s presently happening in the distance will soon be knocking at your door. Truth!
Contrary to the fad of many self-help books that come and go is a book of
wisdom that has stood the test of time. Again, Luke 24 says, “why
seek the living (for the future) among the dead” (the decaying) when still available;
the “Intentional” Empty Tomb of Jesus. Instead of it meaning void of
something, see empty to mean available for anything and dump all those negative,
doubt filled feelings of helpless hopelessness in it and fight for the living! From
then on, accept Romans 8 stating; "In all these things (ever changing and
continually happening today) we are more than conquerors through Him who loved
us." Luke 4 notes Jesus’s first public scroll reading as Isa 61 stating
not only being anointed to proclaim good news to the poor, sight to the blind,
liberty to the captive and oppressed, but ended saying today this scripture is
fulfilled. Not just in him but following his way for truth and light for life.
Might his second coming open to reading something like Isa 46 saying; Listen to
me, you stubborn-hearted … far from my righteousness … my salvation will not be
delayed.
Point: It’s not about easter eggs or “No Kings Day.” It’s about “One Irreplaceable Eternal King” that even Jesus acknowledged. Heed the consequential lesson in 1 Samuel 8 stating what would continue to happen after the Jews traded divine leadership for the historic frailties of human monarchies. Heed the warning: We are not owners but stewards of things that come, go, or get passed on! We are not Kings but representing ambassadors of a power well underway to have final say! Life came out the tomb! Now let’s fill it with what's dead!
