JESUS FACTOR: THE KINGDOM IS IN OUR HANDS
JESUS FACTOR: THE KINGDOM IS IN OUR HANDS
Putting the dividing denominational
dogmas aside to dare ponder scripture as a real philosophical story full of
self-help food for thought; dare ponder Jesus the man, the guru, the mentor,
the role model for humanity to reconsider: Scripture and Jesus are good alternative
perspectives for these speedy times of increasing darkness.
Let’s start with the many years
of preparation in dedicated study and adherence before Jesus had that profound
moment of transforming revelation; that baptismal moment of enlightenment
endowing and igniting clarity of identity, meaning, purpose, and direction not only
stating “the kingdom is upon you” and
“love thy neighbor as self,” but in the end was able to say “forgive them who know
not what they do” and humbly declared “what you've seen me do, you can too” if
you dare but try his way of living. But consider: What was fundamental in his
lifestyle?
Over and again, throughout the
gospels, the saga mentions his evening separations into solitude and morning rise
with an unwavering, uncompromising call for duty. Consider the daily challenges
and opportunities he faced while walking among people caring more about getting
individual freedom from personal ailments and less about the message offering
global unity and healing.
This brings into play an
interesting question! Was the crown of thorns upon his head full of painful
thoughts, the whip of conflicting opinions upon his back, the weight of human
crosses upon his shoulders, and the cup drinking agony in the garden of gethsemane
a onetime event to bear? Dare ponder how “HIS” was an exhausting daily
experience where night after night, alone, with heart felt tears filling his
eyes; wrestling questions like “what’s the point” or as stated “how long must I
be with them before they get it.” Yet morning after morning the commitment to
“not my will but thine be done” was his resolve. Not only was He crucified
daily for three years but to this very day humanity continues to fail
understanding “no greater thing than to lay one’s life down for each other.”
But wait! Look at the fallen
messengers that have and continue to refuse letting the message die. Look at
what’s done with Martin Luther King and others – blood spilled and not mourned
or followed but celebrated as paid holidays to go off to drink and be merry.
Look at GAZA, UKRAIN, AFRICA, VENEZUELA, GREENLAND, and the USA MAGA
INTOXICATED BORDERS! Look at the temples, the pulpits, the prophets and yes;
EACH OTHER being consoled by growing feel good entertainment, prosperity
preaching, and his second coming to initiate a hereafter life full of peace,
love and joy. But what happened to “the now?” The kingdom is upon us now; the
lifted lantern pointing out a path for collective peace, love, joy and justice
is now; the caring about the sick, suffering, and persecuted is now; the laying
of life for the other is now!
No wonder stated: “A light has
come and continues to shine but they love the darkness.” Why also stated “He
loved them but did not trust himself/his heart to them because he knew what was
in their heart.”
So, let’s call a spade a spade!
What is this darkness spreading inside and all around us? What happens under
the table and behind those closed doors of darkness? Is it not but hidden fear
and despair birthing hoarding greed, coveting and the need to escape through
immediate gratifications of all sorts? With the growing sense of helpless
hopelessness isn’t it easier to accept “ignorance as bliss, to ignore and look
the other way because it will go away?” That’s a naive, self-inflicted darkness
serving to uphold convenient ignorance. Ponder: You know of the light but is
the light in you? Then consider just how deep your darkness is! ASK RIGHT NOW!
RIGHT HERE! WHAT WOULD JESUS BE SAYING AND DOING? Already stated “I am the way,
the truth and light of life: FOLLOW ME!” The Kingdom Come continues to be in
our hands; NOW! And make no mistake, because of negligent filled fear: The
price of innocent blood spilled will continue!
