“2026” WHAT’S NEXT

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO Y’ALL! Putting the ball and chain of challenges and opportunities of times now past behind: Once more! It’s time to fill your lanterns with the oil of refreshed God centered resolutions to lift toward horizons new. And, like the beacon of a lighthouse offering safe passage through the perilous moments ahead, may the rudder of your ship be gripped with a faith filled confidence that the targets of your choices have been well thought through. For the hour has come upon us all to get beyond the self and realize. “The I can’t make it without the we!”

Yes, the rudder is yours but who’s going to man the oars? Who’s got the map and compass to keep you On Point? Yes! On a river, although there may be rapids, rocks, and falls to travers, there is a clear directional flow (with visible boarders on either side) where a one-person canoe can take breaks and still make it through that portion of the journey. But all true rivers lead to a vast and endless sea; an ocean of seemingly uncharted waters full of new challenges and opportunities awaiting both the decerned and the fool; the misconceived and ill-prepared. If you feel you’ve made it thus far: Stand before life’s unflinching mirror reflecting beyond personal preferences to see yourself and what lies ahead. We’re Individually Not All That! We’re but hiccups, commas in the annals of time, pimples on the face of humanity. And yet, within the scope of creation, within the eyes and hands of the sculptor, we are all so uniquely positioned and divinely endowed; indispensable and immeasurably loved.

It's non-religious! It’s nondenominational and most definitely far beyond the creeds of race, color, socio/political preferences and economic posturing. It’s survival! No longer about the one but the whole presently living paycheck to paycheck. And during these desperate times, desperate measures often need to be considered. So, let’s talk about models.

Factions, fads, and yes, resolutions are, often spearheaded by some “one or thing;” a celebrity ball player, performer, professional or business tycoon promising a desired result. But with the present darkening times threatening unemployment, homelessness, hunger, health maladies, environmental collapse, widespread loss of social trust in leadership and personal freedom; why not consider striving toward a heaven on earth spearheaded by humanities most underestimated role model: JESUS! Who simply outlined a way to know, love and honor Thy Self, Thy Neighbor, Thy Surroundings, and Thy Source of Life. Face It! The rest is a bunch of semantics where the essential goals of life are lost in a cloud of dividing details.

Consider the underlying common factors behind all New Year Resolutions: CHANGE! A quest for a life free of worry and want? An opportunity to be productive, fruitful, and multiply? A hope for a level playing field assuring “Freedom to be All You Can Be under a banner where Justice For All is found? Doesn’t that imply a need for committed consensus? Then CONSIDER: “What Would Jesus Do” (WWJD) as a Person/Citizen, an Employee/Employer, a Husband/Father and more? Regardless of the dynamic inner workings and consequential results of one’s New Year Resolutions, galvanized by a destabilizing socioeconomic agenda, the cream of truth rises to the top. Remember Peter! For fear of want and the tenancy for convenient self-preservation we face the same fate: Before the rooster crows the beginning of that needed and sought new dawning, without a modeling anchor fixed in your heart, you Will Compromise and Prematurely Deny both self and the cause behind your New Year Resolution. So, wake up! There is a WAY full of a TRUTH and a LIGHT for a better LIFE! At the turn of every challenge and opportunity, Just Ask Yourself:  WWJD!
