Split, Splitting and Set Adrift

Is it fact, hearsay, or what we’ve been conditioned, manipulated to believe and endorse without considering: What’s the end game? Many are too busy trying to survive. They just want to believe, be consoled, AND OBEY! With all the growing media hype focused on controversies, many are just getting isolated and secretly confused. But some are becoming concerned and beginning to question: Are we alone and left to fend for ourselves? Yet, some are simply sad and asking each other: What Did You Read? There is an obvious difference between what He said and what they profess he implied! Consider the nature of denominational dogma. They all agree; one god, one son, one spirit, one reference book, and one destination: Life in the hereafter! HERE! AFTER! Would it had said here AND after! Without adherence to what He said, the “MEANWHILE” continues to be at the heart of today’s escalating drama. Or should I say “Saga?” 

Simply put: Mainly over geographic location, language, interpretations, and leadership the original unified church birthed an Orthodox sect to split. Pursuing financial power and control led The Roman Catholic Church and Martin Luther to have at another split over the use of indulgences offering forgiveness for a price. Having initiated the protestant movement, Martin and John Calvin went at splitting hairs over predestination, free will, and the exchange between church and state which fueled the eventual political focus of the Evangelical movement and the Presbyterian insistence on order, thrift and stewardship. Add the Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Pentecostals, etc. to the Mega Church movement focused on entertainment and Prosperity; do ponder: What happened to the “One Body” with many parts under “One Head” who said, “beware false teachings” and warned how “a divided house will not stand.” What happened to Peter’s call to reflection: If you love me “Feed my Lambs” and “Take Care of my Sheep?” 

Confounded and scattered are the lambs and sheep! Compromised by Unfounded Opinions and Convenient Preferences is JESUS CHRIST! Son of God, Redeemer of Lost Souls, and Blueprint for humanity to mimic: THE WAY, TRUTH and LIGHT for LIFE! 

He said go, pray, fast, meditate scripture, and wait (with that mustard seed of faith) for the promised power (strength, courage, knowledge, understanding) of the Holy Spirit to decern the secret of contentment and the ability to love thy neighbor as thyself. 

To that end, The Jesus Factor is an offered weekly zoom for people to come share the desire to explore, beyond the hype and debate: What did Jesus biblically say and let the Holy Spirt reveal “MORE” than what we think we know. Ask! Whose report will you believe?
